Watch Every San Francisco 49ers Preseason Game Live with NFL Game Pass

The NFL offers an excellent all-in-one streaming service that allows you to watch every out-of-market preseason game live. You also get to enjoy all 256 regular season games league-wide on-demand after they air, but I’ll talk about that more later. The streaming service called NFL Game Pass, and quite frankly, it’s the best option for watching the 49ers online during the preseason.

During the preseason, you can stream every out-of-market 49ers game live to just about all of your devices. What does out-of-market mean? Simply put, if the game isn’t airing on local or national TV, you’ll be able to stream it live. If it is airing in your market, you’ll have to wait to stream the preseason game until it’s over, on replay.

NFL Game Pass costs $99.99 for the year, but you can try it free here for 7 days.

Watch a San Francisco 49ers Live Stream with Sling TV

Best Choice
$25 - $40
26 - 58

Sling TV is a new live streaming service brought to you by Dish Network. They offer up to 60+ channels for a very reasonable monthly cost, and their plans are no-contract so there’s no need to commit long-term. You pay month-to-month just like you do with Netflix.

With Sling TV (full review here), you can watch every Monday Night Football game of the regular season, every Thursday Night Football game, many Sunday Night Football games (in select markets), and tons of local games. You can watch all these events because Sling TV offers live streaming of great channels like ESPN, NFL Network, NBC and FOX.

If you think you’ll enjoy Sling TV enough to keep it long-term, you may want to take advantage of a great promotion currently available — sign up for 3 months of Sling TV and get a FREE streaming player! This deal will let you enjoy live football all season long, directly on your TV!

For those who want to try the service first, you can get a free 7 day trial of Sling TV!

Game Pass Offers Every 49ers Regular Season Game On Demand

Earlier, I talked about Game Pass‘ live streaming of preseason games. Additionally, the NFL’s streaming service lets you watch all 256 regular season games across the league on demand after they air. Plus, Game Pass offers every single game from the 2009-2018 seasons, past Super Bowl games, and a number of special features, like Coaches Film with exclusive camera angles. You can also watch condensed commercial-free 30-minute versions of all the games – a great way to catch up without having to endure endless commercials and stoppages!

While you won’t be able to enjoy 49ers live streaming during the season this way, the service could prove useful if you’re someone who doesn’t have an opportunity to catch the games live or if you want to track other teams as well.

NFL Game Pass (review here) has two basic versions — domestic, and international. The domestic version is available for all US residents and those in many US territories. It’s easy, affordable, and accessible from all your favorite devices, including Apple TV, Xbox, Chromecast, desktop computers, mobile devices, and more.

NFL Game Pass is available for $99.99 per season – less than you might spend on a single month of cable TV. Also, for a limited time there is a free 7 day trial of NFL Game Pass available, so you have nothing to lose by trying it out.

Watch San Francisco 49ers Live Stream on PlayStation Vue

Also Great
$44.99 - $79.99
47 - 72

Another way to watch the 49ers online is to use PlayStation Vue, a new streaming service from Sony. Vue provides access to many popular TV channels, with good sports networks like ESPN, NFL Network, NBC and FOX offered in some packages. Channel availability may vary by location.

PS Vue (review here) starts at $45 a month. It works on most streaming devices, and is available without a contract. In fact, there’s a free 5-day trial that you can test out!

Watch 49ers Games Online Live with NFL Sunday Ticket

DirecTV has a mega-popular football service known as NFL Sunday Ticket. This program lets you watch every out-of-market Sunday NFL game live, and is available to satellite subscribers of DirecTV services. Local blackouts may apply for local teams, but other than that, it’s a great way to watch football.

What many people don’t realize is that you can possibly get the popular NFL Sunday Ticket without satellite TV. It’s now being sold as a standalone service to qualifying customers. Sunday Ticket online allows you to live stream all out-of-market Sunday NFL games from your home computer, mobile device, or streaming device (Roku, Playstation/Xbox, etc.).

Here’s the catch. NFL Sunday Ticket streaming service is only available to certain customers. If you live somewhere where DirecTV is not available, such as a dorm or apartment, you may qualify for NFL Sunday Ticket streaming. The service will run you $49.99 per month for the four-month season, so roughly $200 for the full season. If you’re a student, you may qualify for a lower price of $24.99 per month.

Catch 49ers Games Locally with an Antenna

If you happen to live within the San Francisco 49ers local broadcasting area, you can catch all their games over-the-air, for free. Even those outside of San Fran may be able to catch a few of the teams featured games on the major networks throughout the year. Simply tune into the local broadcasting station to watch every game live, in HD (check AntennaWeb to see what channels you can pick up in your area). If you don’t yet have a working antenna, I recommend checking out our best antennas guide.

Want to record these over-the-air games, pause and rewind live TV, or even stream them directly to your mobile device, computer, or streaming player on the go? With a high end DVR you can do all those things. This is just one more way to watch the San Francisco 49ers online this season. Check out my full guide to the top DVRs for more info.

The most important channel for 49ers streaming is definitely FOX, which will carry most Sunday Night Football games and several others. NFL NetworkNBC and CBS host the remaining games. Most of these channels are included with fuboTV, which offers a free 7-day trial.
