Watch Minnesota Timberwolves Live Stream with Sling TV

Best Choice
$25 - $40
26 - 58

Do you know about Sling TV? If you’ve recently cut cable, you really should learn about this awesome TV-alternative.

Sling TV is actually quite similar to cable, because it gives you access to 40+ of TV’s best and most popular networks. So, how is it different or better than cable, you might ask? Two things: price, and flexibility.

The average cost of cable TV in 2014 was $64.41 per month, with many people paying twice that or more. In contrast, Sling TV is only $25 per month. Also, cable companies generally require a 12-month contract, locking you in to the service for a year or more. Sling TV, on the other hand, is no-contract. You can sign up for Sling TV and use it for however long you want. If you’re not satisfied, you can cancel at any time, with no penalty or fee.

So, Sling TV (review here) is cheaper and more flexible than cable, but what does it actually offer? Here’s a breakdown:

  • Live access to many of TV’s most popular channels.
  • For residents living in the local broadcasting market of the Minnesota Timberwolves (Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, North and South Dakota), you’ll get access to FOX Sports North
  • FOX Sports North is home to EVERY Timberwolves game of the regular season!
  • That means you can stream Timberwolves games online for the entire season!
  • Other channels include TNT, ESPN, ESPN 2, TBS, Disney Channel, Food Network, A&E, and more
  • Watch on your computer, tablet, smartphone, or on your TV with a streaming player
  • Don’t have a streaming device? Get a free Roku or get a discount on an Apple TV when you pay for 3 months of Sling TV
  • Enjoy live NBA and other sports on ESPN and TNT (note that ESPN is not included in all packages)
  • Access ABC-hosted NBA games via the WatchESPN App (using your Sling TV login)
  • Enjoy every live Timberwolves game of the regular season (for local residents only)
  • Enjoy live NBA games on ESPN every week, on Wednesdays and Fridays
  • Enjoy live NBA games on TNT every week, on Thursdays and some Tuesdays and the NBA All Star Game

Sling TV is a good way to watch the Timberwolves online, but it’s also just a great way to watch TV in general, with something for the whole family.

You can try Sling TV for free for 7 days for a hands-on demo of this great service.

It offers folks the ability to stream live TV over the internet, and its channel offerings focus more on sports than anything else (see the fuboTV channel list). Watch a Minnesota Timberwolves Game Live Stream with Playstation Vue

Also Great
$44.99 - $79.99
47 - 72

Sony has a new streaming service out, called Playstation Vue. The service recently expanded, and it’s growing quite rapidly into a quality streaming service.

Basically, Vue gives subscribers access to many popular cable TV networks. In terms of NBA coverage, Playstation Vue is fairly limited. Vue does include TNT, which hosts live NBA games every week, and ESPN. Check the PlayStation Vue channel list for details.

Overall, we think that PS Vue is a bit overpriced for what it offers, at least in terms of NBA coverage. Plans start at $44.99 per month. There are many channels included, but if you’re mostly after the NBA coverage, Sling TV is a better option at a cheaper price.

Watch the Minnesota Timberwolves Online with NBA League Pass

$17.99 - $49.99

The NBA itself offers an official online streaming service called NBA League Pass. It’s a bit more expensive than other options on this list, but if you’re willing to pay the price, you’ll enjoy tons of great NBA content each season.

NBA League Pass is $199.99 per season, which may seem steep, but it’s still cheaper than cable. And, you get a TON of NBA content. With League Pass, you can watch every regular season game LIVE, excluding local teams (more on that later). If you miss a game, you can go back and watch the replay in full HD, from an online streaming library.

During the playoffs, live streaming is blacked out, but you can still watch every playoff game on-demand, starting a few hours after the live broadcast. You’ll also enjoy reliving epic moments in NBA history, with a huge on-demand library of classic NBA games available for replay.

If $199.99 per season seems a bit steep to you, there is another option. If you JUST want to watch the Minnesota Timberwolves online, and you don’t care about any other teams, you can pay $119.99 per for an NBA Team Pass, which gives you the same features as the League Pass, but only for a certain team.

If you’re just a casual viewer and you don’t want to commit to anything, the NBA also offers an NBA Single Game Pass for $6.99. As the name suggests, this gives you access to live streaming of a single game of your choice.

Now, here’s something important to note: NBA League Pass, Team Pass and Single Game Pass all black out local teams from live streaming. What that means is that, if you live in Minnesota, you won’t be able to watch the Timberwolves live using League Pass. You can still watch on-demand replays, but no live streaming for teams within your local broadcasting area.

Watch Basketball for FREE Using an Antenna

Watching live basketball is great. Know what’s better? Watching live basketball, for free!

Believe it or not, there’s a safe, easy, and legal way to watch NBA games for free. All you need is an HD antenna. If you don’t have one, check out our guide to the best antennas.

With a good HD antenna, you’ll be able to watch channels that broadcast over the air, like Fox, ABC, and some local channels. The channel that NBA fans should take note of is ABC, as ABC hosts featured NBA games throughout the season. You can see the full lineup in the NBA on ABC schedule.

Catching live games is always fun, but sometimes you simply don’t have the time. If your busy schedule doesn’t allow for live watching, we recommend recording the games to watch later. If you already have a DVR, simply set it to record ABC at the appropriate times and you’re good to go. If you don’t have one, read through our DVR comparison guide to learn about the various models available.

Watch the Timberwolves Online with No Blackouts using NBA League Pass International

Are you a basketball fan living abroad? If you live outside of the United States, you can subscribe to NBA League Pass International to get your NBA fix.

Like the domestic version described above, NBA League Pass International offers live streaming of regular season games, plus on-demand replays of regular season and playoff games. The only difference is that the International version doesn’t black out any teams, so you can use it to keep up with every single team in the NBA. This is the absolute best way to watch the Minnesota Timberwolves online. Click on your country to be taken to your location-specific service.

Use a VPN to Stream the Timberwolves Game from Outside the US

Another solid option is to use a VPN service. This will allow international fans to still tune in and catch the Minnesota Timberwolves game live stream online.
