Watch the Miami Heat Online All Season Long with Sling TV

Best Choice
$25 - $40
26 - 58

For recent cord-cutters who want to watch the Miami Heat game live stream, there are a few “essential” services that should always be first on your shopping list. Sling TV is one of these services that we consider a first step in replacing cable.

Sling TV is perfect for people who have recently cancelled cable, because it actually offers a lot of the same great content that you enjoy on cable networks. In fact, it offers access to many actual cable TV networks – without the cable subscription!

Here’s how Sling TV works:

  • Plans start from $25 a month, with the best plan for Heat fans being Sling Blue at $25 a month
  • Sling TV is no-contract, so you can cancel at any time
  • With Sling, you can stream the Heat game on your computer, tablet, phone, smart TV, or regular TV via a streaming device
  • Don’t have a streaming device? Get a FREE Roku or a discounted Apple TV when you subscribe to 3 months of Sling.
  • Depending on which package you choose, you’ll get 25-60+ channels to stream LIVE

Sling TV provides access to lots of great channels, providing something to watch for the whole family. But we are here to talk about basketball… so what does Sling TV offer, in terms of NBA coverage?

Here’s how you can use Sling TV to watch the Miami Heat game live stream this week, and all season long:

  1. Sign up for Sling Blue (and try a free 7-day trial while you’re at it!)
  2. Sling Blue will run you $25 a month, for 40+ channels
  3. If you live in Florida, you’ll get FOX Sports Sun, the regional FOX Sports network for the area
  4. FOX Sports Sun is home to ALL Miami Heat games, all season long!
  5. That means that Florida residents who subscribe to Sling TV will be able to stream the Miami Heat LIVE all season long!
  6. You can also watch live NBA games and other content on TNT and ESPN (in some packages)
  7. Watch on any device, from anywhere
  8. No need to commit – cancel Sling at any time

Clearly, for Florida residents Sling TV provides a super easy and affordable way to stream Miami Heat games for the entire season. But what if you don’t live in Florida? Well, you can still watch some games, but not as many. Sling TV also includes TNT and ESPN in some packages, which together will host a combined 100+ NBA games this season. These channels will also be useful to watch the NBA playoffs online. And remember, in addition to all the great NBA coverage, you’ll enjoy a lot of other quality programming from many of the channels you love. See the full Sling TV channel list for details.

If you’re still on the fence, you can try Sling TV for free for 7 days to get a feel for the service yourself, without spending a dime!

Catch the Miami Heat Game Stream on fuboTV

Also Great
$44.99 - $49.99
60 - 64

fuboTV is a new service that is marketed as a “sports-first” streaming service. It offers tons of great channels, including NBA TV, FOX Sports Sun (for Florida residents only), NBCSN, FS1, and many others. It costs $45 per month, with no contract required, and works on most devices.

If you reside in the Florida area, you’ll be able to get the Miami Heat stream for nearly every game, thanks to FOX Sports Sun. If not, you can catch an occasional game on NBA TV. The fuboTV channels list has full details.

You can also start things off with a free 7-day trial of fuboTV!

Watch Miami Heat Live Stream with Playstation Vue

Also Great
$44.99 - $79.99
47 - 72

Another TV-alternative service that is interesting for basketball fans is Playstation Vue. Vue is Sony’s new online streaming service. It works on streaming devices, PlayStation Consoles, and mobile devices.

Playstation Vue is a streaming service that provides access to popular TV channels. With packages starting at $44.99 per month, it’s cheaper than cable but not as cheap as Sling TV. The basic package does include TNT and ESPN, which provides a decent way to watch NBA games online. Read our PlayStation Vue review for further information.

Watch Miami Heat Live Stream and Replays with NBA League Pass

NBA League Pass is the only streaming service that comes from the NBA itself. As you could imagine, this means that it offers more NBA streaming content than any other service. It’s also a bit on the expensive side, but it’s still cheaper than cable!

Unfortunately, NBA League Pass suffers from a major downside: local teams are blacked out. That means that if you live in Florida, you cannot use this service to watch Miami Heat games live (but you can still watch on-demand replays).

There are 2 different versions of this service:

NBA League Pass lets you follow all your favorite teams throughout the season, with both live streaming and on-demand replays. It costs $199.99 per season. Local blackouts apply.

NBA Team Pass lets you follow your favorite team throughout the season, offering both live and on-demand streaming. It costs $119.99 per season. Local blackouts apply so beware if you want to watch every Miami Heat game live but live in the team’s market.

Here’s how it all works:

    • You can use NBA League Pass/Team Pass on your computer, mobile device, or streaming player
    • Enjoy live streaming of all regular season games (for all teams/one single team, depending on your package)
    • Enjoy on-demand replays of all regular season games (for all teams/one single team, depending on your package)
    • Enjoy a large library of classic NBA games available for streaming (both versions)
  • Both versions include local blackouts.

About blackouts – this is an important thing to note. Every team within your local broadcasting area will be blacked out from live streaming using League Pass. So, if you live in the Miami area, you cannot watch live coverage of the Miami Heat using this service – but you can still catch replays on-demand.

Also, new this season, the NBA is selling an NBA Single Game Pass, which, as the name suggests, gives you live access to a single game. It costs $6.99, which is a pretty good deal if you only want to watch a few games throughout the season.

Watch a Miami Heat Game Live Stream for FREE Using Your Antenna

If you have an HD antenna, did you know that you can watch NBA games for free? No cable required – no subscription at all required! All you need is a good HD antenna, and you’re good to go!

A good HD antenna will let you pick up over-the-air channels. And, since ABC is an OTA channel, that means you can watch ABC programming over the air, for free – including several NBA games. Check the Miami Heat season schedule to see which games fall on which networks.

If your schedule doesn’t allow you to watch these games live, another good option is to record them so you can watch them later. You’ll need a good DVR, and our DVR comparison guide compares several different models to help you choose the DVR that’s right for you.

Watch the Miami Heat Online with No Blackouts using NBA League Pass International

Do you want to watch live streaming of every NBA regular season game, from every NBA team in the league? Do you live outside of the United States? If you answered yes to both of these questions, NBA League Pass International may be the service for you.

The International version of this popular service is very similar to the domestic version that we described in detail earlier in the guide, except for this version does not blackout any teams. It’s a great service for NBA fans living abroad. Click your country for more info: Ireland, UK, or Australia. It’s a great way to watch the Miami Heat online if you live abroad.

Stream the Miami Heat Game Live with a VPN (for International Fans)

Another option for our international readers is to use a VPN. This will allow you to stream Heat games online, regardless of where you live.

What Channel is the Heat Game On?

Miami Heat games air on FOX Sports Sun, a regional sports network that is available to Florida-area residents via Sling TV (which makes it pretty easy to watch the Miami Heat online, luckily!).
