It’s time for the top two NL times to battle it out for to see who will go on to compete for the biggest prize in baseball. The NLCS features the National League’s two best teams, the Dodgers and the Brewers, fighting to make their way to the World Series. They’ll be cheered on by their home crowds and both teams will be looking to cement their place in history. It’s sure to be a great series, and you don’t want to miss a second of the action during the NLCS!
FOX and FS1 will be broadcasting the entire NLCS. Luckily, there are now several options to legally and affordably watch the MLB Playoffs and the NLCS live stream online. Without a cable subscription, you can now watch MLB baseball on your computer, phone, tablet, or directly on your TV. Keep reading to see all of your options this October to watch the NLCS online.
Sling TV Offers Best Way to Watch the NLCS Online
Sling TV a subscription streaming service will be a leading option to watch the National League Championship Series live this postseason. Sling TV (review) is a live streaming service that gives subscribers access to all of their favorite channels, including FOX (select markets), FS1, TBS, TNT, ESPN, AND ESPN2 — all delivered over their internet connection.
Because TBS has full broadcasting rights to the NLCS, Sling TV is a great solution for those who want to watch the NLCS online. While local FOX channels are only available in select markets at the moment, FS1 is available nationwide on Sling. Sling TV’s Blue package starts at just $25 per month and requires no contract to stream on your computer, phone, tablet, or TV with a connected device (Roku, Apple TV, Chromecast, Fire TV, etc.). Users pay month-to-month, just like with Netflix, Spotify, or any other streaming service.
Sling TV offers a free 7-day trial to new users. This is a great way to try out the service to see if it’s right for you. Click here to start your free trial.
Sling TV is also running another deal sports fans may be interested in. If you sign up for three months of the service, you receive half off a Roku 3 player or a free Roku 2. The Roku devices will let you watch the NLCS live stream on your TV, and both would be paid off by the end of the three months.
Overall, Sling TV is an affordable and easy solution to watch the NLCS online this year if you do not have a cable subscription. Click here for more info.
Watch NLCS Replays on MLB.TV Premium
For the rest of the season, MLB.TV Premium is still available for fans. It has been lowered to a cost of $9.99 for the postseason. At the moment, a subscription also gains you full access to Spring Training for next year. Due to certain regulations, live playoff games will be blacked out for domestic subscribers (international MLB.TV users can watch the games live). But, MLB.TV will provide replays on-demand for its subscribers. 90 minutes after each game, the replay will be posted and can be watched any time. Beyond the on-demand games, MLB’s At Bat app is included in the subscription along with a wide array of highlights and analysis. If you cannot make the time to watch the games live or prefer to re-watch the action anytime you’d like, MLB.TV is a great option at the current price.
Use PlayStation Vue to Watch the NLCS Online
PlayStation Vue is a live streaming service from Sony that’s pretty similar to Sling TV. With Vue, you’re able to watch cable TV channels streaming over your internet connection without the expense or contracts that come with cable TV. TBS and FS1 are included with Vue and FOX is in limited markets, so this offers a way to watch the NLCS online. The basic package is priced between $45 per month depending on location, which is costlier than Sling TV.
Vue is a good live streaming service and nice replacement for cable TV. Its channel packages are pretty extensive. But if you’re just looking to watch the MLB playoffs and don’t need tons of channels, it is the costliest option of those available, and it isn’t currently available on Apple TV. Potential subscribers should also be aware that PlayStation Vue does have some mobile streaming restrictions preventing you from accessing the NLCS live stream if you’re not on your home internet connection.
