Sling TV is one of the top cable alternatives on the market and a great way to watch the Cubs online. The subscription streaming service includes many channels that will be valuable for watching live Cubs games, including ESPN, TBS, and more.

For Chicago area MLB fans, Sling also offers CSN Chicago, which covers almost ALL Cubs games of the season! If you live in the Chicago area, we recommend signing up for Sling Blue, the $25/month package that offers 40+ channels. It offers CSN Chicago which covers the majority of Cubs games, and FS1 which will be useful during the playoffs.

Here are some highlights of Sling TV:

  • Can do more than just watch a Cubs live stream, more than 30 top cable channels are available in the basic package alone
  • Channels include ESPN, ESPN2, TBS, TNT, AMC, CNN, and several others

  • We recommend the $25/month Sling Blue plan if you want CSN Chicago

One other deal from Sling TV, my personal favorite, is when you subscribe to 3 months of Sling TV you get a free Roku streaming player. Kind of a no-brainer. Learn more about Sling TV in our review here and head over to start your 7-day free trial!

Major League Baseball’s streaming service, MLB.TV, offers another way to watch the Chicago Cubs online if you do not live in the Chicago area. For $112.99 you can watch every single out-of-market regular season game from all 30 MLB teams for the entire year. And, if you just are interested in watching a Cubs live stream you are able to pay $87.49 and watch all of the Cubs games. If you are in the Chicago area, this is not as viable an option to watch the Cubs online, but you can still watch a ton of other MLB games.
