If you do not have cable, you can watch the Players Championship streaming right on your TV or online on your computer. There are a couple different options for you out there and we highlight them all below, so read on!
Watch the Players Championship Live Stream on PlayStation Vue
In 2015, Sony introduced PlayStation Vue as an alternative for those seeking to still watch all of their favorite shows and sporting events after cutting cable. Now, it will be a great way to watch the Players Championship streaming this weekend. The way PlayStation Vue works is you pay a monthly subscription rate and get access to tons of cable channels live streaming.
There are different plans based on where you live for PlayStation Vue and that will dictate how you can stream the Players Championship. In Miami, Dallas, Chicago, New York City, San Francisco, Philadelphia, and Los Angeles you pay $44.99 per month and can watch the Players Championship online the entire tournament. This is because you can watch the tournament on the Golf Channel on Thursday and Friday and on NBC during the weekend rounds.
If you are not in one of those cities, you pay $34.99 per month and gain access to the Golf Channel live streaming and NBC‘s broadcast can be watched on-demand the next day. This way, you can easily watch the Players Championship online before the weekend rounds. No matter where you are located the package includes an additional 70 popular channels you can live stream including ESPN, ESPN2, TBS, TNT, Comedy Central, FS1, NBC Sports, and many others.
With PlayStation Vue, you can watch the Players Championship live stream with iPads, iPhones, PlayStation consoles, Chromecast, and Amazon Fire TV. Compared to some other cable alternatives, PlayStation Vue is slightly limited in terms of streaming devices, but they have been adding more compatibility. In addition, you should know if you try to stream the Players Championship from outside your home, there’s a good chance the channel might be blacked out. At the moment, some channels are restricting their broadcasts from being watched away from your home and internet provider.

Stream the 2018 Players Championship Directly Through the PGA Tour
Often times, especially during some of the biggest tournaments, the PGA Tour will offer direct streams from their site to watch featured groups. This is likely another option to watch the Players Championship online if the PGA Tour does this once again for the Players Championship. The stream will function similar to how the featured groups at the Masters worked, with the ability to follow select groups the entire day from the beginning to end of their rounds. You can find out the details behind streaming once announced, here.
Use an Antenna and DVR to Watch the Players Championship Streaming
If you are not in one of the limited areas to stream the Players Championship the entire tournament with PlayStation Vue, an antenna would be a good way to watch the weekend rounds. An antenna, like our most recommended option the Mohu Leaf 50, picks up the broadcasts from over-the-air channels like NBC, CBS, ABC, and FOX. It connects the broadcasts to your TV and even lets you watch them in HD. You can watch the Saturday and Sunday rounds in HD on your TV for just the upfront cost of the antenna.
And, if you want to either record rounds or watch the Players Championship live stream you can also include an over-the-air DVR. Most of these DVRs will feature all the traditional features, so you can record any of the rounds on NBC to watch later or even pause and rewind while watching live.
But, some DVRs, like the Tablo, let you actually stream the Players Championship on your computer, tablet, or phone. It links up your antenna’s reception to your internet connection and lets you watch whatever your antenna is showing anywhere you go. You don’t even have to be in the house you can simply watch the Players Championship online this weekend anywhere you can get internet connection.
