Watch Vanderbilt Football Online with Sling TV

Best Choice
$25 - $40
26 - 58

Last year, Dish Network launched its streaming service Sling TV. The service targets cable cutters who want an easy solution to watch their favorite channels without the high price of cable (check out my Sling TV review). It is also a great way for sports fans to keep up with their favorite teams, because Sling offers ESPN, ESPN2, and ESPN3 (available through the WatchESPN app with your Sling login; you can also watch ABC games through the app) in its basic Orange package. The package is $25 per month, and you get live streaming to your TV (w/ a streaming player), phone, tablet, or computer.

In addition to Sling’s basic package it now offers extra, or add-on packages. One of these is the Sports Extra Package for an extra $5 per month, which provides access to ESPNU, ESPNEWS, and SEC Network. These channels will all be broadcasting several SEC games during the year, giving you a good chance to catch a couple of Vanderbilt games online. Also, SEC Network+, the SEC’s digital platform, becomes available to you with the Sports Extra Package through the WatchESPN app. This is a great legal way to watch SEC football online.

If you’d like to test out Sling TV now, you are in luck, they currently offer a free 7-day trial.

If you plan on watching college football all season long, I recommend taking advantage of the limited-time offer of a free Roku 2 or a discounted Apple TV for your TV when you pay in advance for three months of your service. This will carry you through nearly the entire college football season, and by the end of your three months either device will have paid for itself.

CBS All Access Offers Some Vanderbilt Football Live Stream Coverage

$5.99 - $9.99

For any Vanderbilt football game on CBS, CBS All Access could be a good solution for streaming the action live. This is CBS’ official streaming service, and it provides live streaming of local CBS channels in roughly 80% of the country. All Access will run you only $5.99 a month, and you also get to watch CBS hit shows on demand. Check out our All Access review for more info.

PlayStation Vue Offers Option to Watch Vanderbilt Football Online

Also Great
$44.99 - $79.99
47 - 72

For yet another way to enjoy a Vanderbilt football live stream, check out PlayStation Vue. This live streaming service from Sony may remind you of Sling TV as it also has a bundle of popular channels streaming through your internet connection. Sling TV is the better value though. Vue will run you $45 a month for its cheapest package, depending on where you live. Vue also has restrictions on most mobile streaming away from your home network.

CBS Offers Options to Watch the SEC Game of the Week Online or Over-The-Air

In the upcoming season, CBS will be broadcasting up to 17 SEC games. This means there will likely be a great Vanderbilt matchup or two on the CBS agenda. Each week, CBS will broadcast its SEC Game of the Week on Saturdays, and some weeks will even feature doubleheaders. Luckily, these broadcasts are available to you even without a cable package through the use of an antenna.

If you want to record the games, there are some great over-the-air DVRs available (guide here). I personally use the Tablo DVR because in addition to full DVR features (like recordings, pausing and rewinding live TV, etc.), it also allows me to stream recordings and live TV directly to my connected devices anywhere in the world.

This year, CBS has announced it will be live streaming each of its SEC football game broadcasts during the season. The stream does not need any form of authentication and is free to view on the CBS Sports website. If CBS is broadcasting a Commodore matchup, the CBS live stream would be the perfect opportunity for you to watch Vanderbilt football online with ease. The stream will be great quality and even features all 22 camera angles CBS offers on its broadcast. Whichever option you choose, CBS will certainly be offering a cheap and solid opportunity to catch SEC and Vanderbilt football without cable.
