This year, SEC games will be aired on several outlets throughout the season, including the ESPN family of networks, the SEC Network (also part of ESPN), CBS, and possibly even CBS’s College Sports Live. Conveniently, all of these channels are accessible to cable cutters through several outlets. Watch SEC Football Online With a Sling TV Subscription

Sling TV will be a great service to watch SEC football live streams throughout the season. The service allows subscribers to watch cable channels as live streams via an internet connection. A basic subscription to Sling’s streaming service provides access to ESPN, ESPN2, and ESPN3. The basic subscription costs $25 per month and does not require a contract of any kind. The package includes nearly 20 additional channels like TNT, TBS, HGTV, and AMC. You can read a full review of Sling TV here.

Sling TV offers a Sports Extra package, which costs an additional $5 per month. This adds a number of useful channels for SEC fans, including SEC Network, ESPNU, ESPNEWS, and others. The easy access to the SEC Network will let you catch a ton of SEC football games online. The network has a 20-year commitment signed by the SEC commissioner to cover all SEC sports with live game telecasts, news, and analysis. During the college football season, it will be consistently showing great SEC games, and its 24/7 SEC coverage means there will be constant analysis and highlights. With this package, you’ll also be able to watch SEC Network+ on Sling TV, for even more college football games. The network will display hundreds of live SEC events throughout the year, including a lot of college football. Sling currently has a limited-time offer of a free Roku streaming device or a discounted Apple TV for your TV if you prepay for three months of the service. The streaming devices will pay for themselves over the three months, let you watch Sling TV and over 2,000 other streaming apps (e.g Netflix, Hulu, etc.) on your television, and it’s a great way to ensure you can watch SEC games all year long on your TV, mobile devices, and computer. If an SEC game is scheduled to air on CBS, you can live stream it using CBS’ All Access streaming service. Even though All Access is mostly known for offering on-demand streaming of hit CBS TV shows, it also gives subscribers live streaming of its SEC football games in a number of select markets. Right now, All Access offers live streaming in almost 100 cities across the US, so if you reside in one of these live streaming markets (found here on the All Access website), you can watch SEC games online on CBS this way. PlayStation Vue is another service that will give you live access to many SEC football games throughout the season. It works a lot like Sling TV, giving you a way to watch live cable networks without a cable subscription. Vue has plans starting from $45 a month, and is available without a contract. ESPN, ESPN2 and several others are available in the basic package. SEC Network is also available, but it’s in the “Core” package, which will run you $45 a month. So, when it comes to options to watch SEC football online, PlayStation Vue and Sling TV basically offer the same thing. Vue is more expensive, however, which is one reason we typically recommend Sling first. Vue also does not work outside of your home, as mobile viewing is restricted. Watch the SEC Game of the Week on CBS with an Antenna or Online

Throughout the 2018-2019 season, CBS will be airing several SEC football games on its over-the-air network channel. Almost every Saturday, CBS will broadcast an SEC Game of the Week, and there will even be a few doubleheaders on some weekends. The Game of the Week and doubleheaders will likely be showcasing some of the best teams and matchups throughout the year since CBS has the first choice over which SEC games to broadcast. CBS will likely be selecting the most competitive and exciting games to boost viewership during busy Saturdays. The games aired on CBS’s network channel can be access for free with an antenna. An antenna lets you view over-the-air networks like CBS, FOX, NBC, and ABC for free. If you don’t have an antenna, we recommend several in our antenna comparison guide. It is an easy and cost affordable way to catch what will most likely be the most exciting games of the SEC football season. If you want to record the games, an over-the-air DVR will let you record the games, pause and rewind live TV, and also stream your recordings and live TV to your connected devices anywhere you go. Check out our guide to the best DVRs for more info. Don’t get good reception at your home or just want to watch SEC football online rather than over-the-air? Good news. Last season, CBS streamed several SEC games for free on its website, CBSSports.com and on its mobile and tablet apps. They will likely be doing the same thing this season. You won’t need to authenticate with a cable or satellite login, it’s totally free to stream the games online.

How to Get Free Access to ESPN3 on WatchESPN

If you don’t want to get Sling TV, you won’t necessarily be left totally out in the cold as far as SEC programming on the ESPN family of networks. If you get your internet service through a participating provider, you could get free access to ESPN3 through the WatchESPN app. ESPN3 is the network’s live digital channel, and it typically over live streams of the college games that air on ABC as well as some games exclusive to the digital network. However, this free access to the WatchESPN app will not allow you to stream ESPN, ESPN2, the SEC Network, or the SEC Network+, so you’ll still be missing out on a lot of SEC football.

CBS College Sports Live Offers Video and Audio Streams of SEC Football Games

CBS College Sports Live may have SEC games available throughout the season. The service has agreements with Alabama, Georgia, Missouri, and Ole Miss to live stream video or audio for some of their games. The services starts at $9.95 per month and can be live streamed over an internet connection. It also provides you with live streaming of a ton of other college sports events, from volleyball to basketball and more. A quick glance at the schedule seems to indicate that most games will only offer audio streams, but it’s up to each individual school whether or not they’ll provide a video stream as well. The best bet for College Sports Live is to take a look at their broadcast schedule to find out which SEC games will be available as live streams.
