On Saturday, December 15th the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders take on the Appalachian State Mountaineers in the New Orleans Bowl. I think anytime the Middle Tennessee play in the New Orleans Bowl it’s a win for every college football fan. The stadium will certainly be raucous and a great time for anyone in attendance. And, the matchup between two solid teams means you should make sure you know how to get a New Orleans Bowl live stream before kickoff.
There are several services out there that offer a live stream of the game, even though it’s being broadcast by ESPN, a cable channel. Below we highlight the different services and help you decide which one will best for you come game time.
Get a New Orleans Bowl Live Stream from Sling TV
Sling TV is a subscription streaming service that’ll let you watch a Middle Tennessee vs. Appalachian State live stream. ESPN is included in its Sling Orange starting package alongside TBS, ESPN2, TNT, AMC, CNN, and around 30 more. All of this costs only $25 per month to start and gets you way more than just a way to watch New Orleans Bowl online.
If you’re thinking Sling TV (review) might not be worth $25 per month, you can give a try free. The 7-day free trial will not only let you test the service but will get you a New Orleans Bowl stream free. And, if you’re a T-Mobile subscriber the starting cost is actually just $14 per month.
When you sign up, you can actually get a free Roku or $60 off an Apple TV. All you need to do is subscribe for three months and you can choose between either device. Both will let you live stream whatever you’d like from Sling TV right on your big screen.
Try DIRECTV NOW and Get a New Orleans Bowl Live Stream
AT&T recently launched a streaming service, DIRECTV NOW. You can watch New Orleans bowl online right on ESPN with the service. Additionally, you can watch channels like ESPN2, TBS, TNT, CNN, and much more live streaming. The starting package for DIRECTV NOW is $40 per month and there are more expensive packages that bring in additional channels as well.
You can watch DIRECTV NOW and a New Orleans Bowl stream with iOS devices, androids, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, and Chromecast. More compatible devices are coming, but the service is still new. The early days might also see some kinks being worked out on the service, so it’s tough to go in expecting perfection.
PlayStation Vue is Another Service Providing a New Orleans Bowl Live Stream
Sony also has a competitive streaming service, PlayStation Vue. The starting price is right in between the two above services at $44.99 per month. There are more expensive packages that feature more than the 50 streaming cable channels on the initial package. But, you only need the starter package to get ESPN and a New Orleans Bowl live stream.
Other channels included on PlayStation Vue (review) are ESPN2, FS1, TBS, TNT, NBCSN, CNN, Comedy Central, and much more. Certain locations even get access to channels like NBC, ABC, CBS, and FOX live. But, it is limited and the starting cost does jump up to $44.99 per month. Also, you might run into some issues if you try to stream from mobile devices because some channels will be restricted. Not ideal, but it’s still a solid option for a Middle Tennessee vs. Appalachian State live stream.
