If you’ve been a disciple of Sling TV converting people from their sky high cable bills, you’re about to be rewarded for your efforts. Starting this month, instead of the simple satisfaction of helping people save money, you’ll be in line for a $5 credit for every friend you refer.
Sure, that doesn’t sound like a lot at first, but when you consider that you can earn this credit up to 12 times, that works out to two of three free months of Sling – not a bad payout at all! It’s worth nothing though, that you can only get one $5 credit per bill. If you refer multiple friends in one month, the credit will roll over to the next month.
As an added incentive to your friends, they’ll receive the same $5 credit you do when they sign up with your link.
Ready to start earning your credits? All you need to do is log in to sling.com. There’s a “Refer A Friend” button shown. Click it, and you’ll be given a link that you can either share on social media or text/e-mail to friends. When people click on your link, they’ll be taken to a page where they can start building their perfect Sling package.
New customers will be offered a 7 day free trial of the package they built. If they stay on past the free trial, they’ll get $5 off their first bill, you’ll get $5 off your next bill, and everyone wins!
One note, though. Sling notes in the terms and conditions for this offer that people must clearly disclose when they share a link that they’ll receive a free $5 credit when people sign up. This is likely geared more towards large scale “social influencers” rather than someone sending a link to grandma (as Sling would have no way of knowing if you told mawmaw you’re saving money), but if you’re sharing links on a large scale, be aware.
