HBO Hit Shows Like Game of Thrones and The Sopranos Will Soon Be Available Through FandangoNOW

Fans of HBO shows will soon have a new option available to watch their favorites any time they want thanks to a deal with FandangoNOW.

Fans of HBO shows will soon have a new option available to watch their favorites any time they want. A new agreement between the network and video provider FandangoNOW means viewers can download episodes of Game of Thrones, The Sporanos, Band of Brothers, and more – either one episode at a time or a full season

While most people aren’t too familiar with the FandangoNOW name, they have 40,000 plus titles in their library, so it’s worth checking out. There’s no subscription model, customers just pay for each show they want and download it. Single episodes will cost about $3 or $4 depending on the definition, while an entire season will cost about $30 to $40, right in line with other video providers.

FandangoNOW’s Chief Marketing Officer Adam Rockmore said that the move only serves to strengthen the Fandango brand as well, noting that the name HBO brings to mind quality programming for many people, and that by selling GoT plus many other award winning HBO shows, FandangoNOW can become known as a go-to source for fans looking for hit shows.

The FandangoNOW service is available on just about any modern device, with a Smart TV channel, a channel on “over the top” streaming players like Roku, a streaming channel on Xbox One and PS4 video game systems, an iOS and Android mobile phone app, plus the FandangoNOW.com web site.
HBO does have a video service on their own called HBO Go, and many HBO shows are available through other sources like Amazon video, so the new HBO download offerings don’t bring anything “new” to the table really. But having more options outside of cable is always a good thing.
