Amazon Fire TV has a lot going for it. For starters, there are multiple variations and the majority of them are under $100. This makes them fairly affordable. The access to Amazon Prime makes it nice, though this is a standard function in many streaming services. Another plus is Fire TV apps. There are dozens of them, and they will determine your entertainment experience. From movies to music and even games, there are all kinds of Fire TV apps and these are 10 of the best of them!

This one was to be expected, right? It’s hard to write a definitive list without adding Netflix. This is even truer if you have one streaming device. You can’t talk about uploading Fire TV apps without adding Netflix. The original content alone, not to mention the thousands of TV shows and movies, make it worth adding. If you’re one of the very few who don’t currently have Netflix, they offer a 30-day trial to check it out!

Pluto TV

Granted, Pluto TV is going to be a little hit or miss. That’s what happens in free Fire TV apps. On the bright side, Pluto TV is worth sifting through a little junk. For starters, you get a guide that makes channel surfing possible. You’ll have access to movies and TV, including live stream and on-demand options. It’s worth trying just because it’s free. I mean, what do you have to lose?

There are plenty of Fire TV apps that are for more than movies and TV. iHeartRadio is one of them. The iHeartRadio app is free and allows you to listen to thousands of your favorite songs, to make playlists, and more. There are plenty of good Fire TV apps for music, and this is just one of them.

If you like free Fire TV apps, you might find tubiTV to your liking. The benefit here is that you’ll find thousands of TV shows and movies already available, with new content added every week. Sure, you won’t like everything on there, but you don’t like everything on any streaming service. At least with tubiTV, it’s free, so you can bypass what you dislike, watch what you like, and have a good time doing it.

The CW

If you want to watch some free local TV, one of the best Fire TV apps to download is the CW app. You’ll get access to free episodes of all the CW shows including Supergirl, The Flash, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Supernatural, The Originals, and more! New episodes are available as soon as the day after they air on TV, and they usually have the last 5 episodes available to watch!

Crackle offers a mix of newer and older movies, along with some free TV options. All of it is free, and a lot of it is worth watching. You can create an account and that will allow you to save you spot and to build a watch list. Crackle has also started adding some original content, including the wildly popular, Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee and the drama, Crash.
