What we like about it: More channel variety
Drawbacks: More expensive than Philo
Who it’s perfect for: Hallmark fans looking for extra channels
If Philo doesn’t have enough channels for your liking, you can pay a few extra bucks and watch Hallmark plus plenty more channels. Check out Hallmark for free for a few days with a 7-day Sling TV trial.
Hallmark and a handful of other channels
The beauty of getting Hallmark Channel with Sling is that you can choose whichever channel package you want.
Let us explain—Sling offers two different channel packages: Sling Blue and Sling Orange. They both cost $25 a month, have around 30 channels, and neither include the Hallmark Channel. So, you’ll want to get the Lifestyle Extra add-on, which costs an extra $5 a month, to get you the Hallmark Channel.
Now that you know your add-on, you’ll need to decide whether you want Sling Blue or Sling Orange. Yeah, you can’t get the add-on by itself. Check out the channel list for both packages and choose the one that has more of your favorites.
Either way, you’ll pay $30 for the Hallmark Channel.
Add an extra $5 for cloud DVR storage
Hallmark movies are almost perfect. We say almost because those pesky commercials can really throw off the vibe. If you record everything with cloud DVR, you can always fast-forward the commercials and stay steeped in the holiday romance.
Most streaming services include several hours of cloud DVR with your subscription, but that’s not the case with Sling TV. It’ll cost you an extra $5 a month for 50 hours of cloud DVR storage.
You can turn this feature on and off, so you can shell out the $5 for the holidays and remove the feature the coming January. It’s up to you.
Sling TV device compatibility
Sling TV works with any of the major streaming devices out there. You can stream the Hallmark Channel on your phone, tablet, or streaming box.
