Food Network has literally changed the way many Americans perceive food culture in our country. The network launched the careers of many household names, including Rachael Ray, Alton Brown, and Guy Fieri. Without it, we wouldn’t have gotten to know celebrity chefs like Emeril Lagasse, Bobby Flay, Mario Batali, or Paula Deen (for better or worse). Wondering how you can get a Food Network live stream without cable?

Today, the network is home to cooking shows, travel shows, reality competitions, and more with hits like Alton Brown’s Cutthroat Kitchen, and Chopped hosted by Ted Allen, who rose to fame on Bravo’s Queer Eye for the Straight Guy.

Fans of Food Network are hungry for fun, food-based entertainment, and while cable cutters can wait until some shows are released in collections on Netflix, there is a better way to stay up to date with life and on-demand Food Network shows. Here’s how.

Enjoy Food Network Live Stream with Sling TV

$25 - $40
26 - 58

One of our favorite ways to watch Food Network online is with Sling TV. This subscription streaming service has so many great features it is hard to know where to begin. Let’s start here:

  • Affordable – Sling TV’s basic package is only $20 per month (for 25+ channels!)
  • No obligation – There is no contract, so you can cancel at any time.
  • Live streaming – You can watch your favorite networks seamlessly.
  • Accessible – Sling TV works with most devices and operating systems.

Food Network, and its amazing lineup of quality programming, is part of Sling TV’s Sling Orange package, so even without add-ons you’ll be able to enjoy the most delicious programming on television without cable. On top of that, you’d also be able to watch other pay TV favorites, including HGTV and Travel Channel, for your home improvement and vacation fixes. If you’d like more information, you can read our Sling TV review here.

With Sling, you can watch Food Network on Apple TV, Roku, Xbox One, Android TV, Chromecast, mobile devices, computers, and more! All you need is a $20/month subscription and an internet connection.

There are some great deals for Sling TV right now, too. You can always try it free for 7 days. Or, if you commit to 3 months of service, you qualify for a free Roku 2 (click the link to see the most current deal, as details do change from time to time). And for T-Mobile customers, Sling TV has a current deal where you can sign up for a year and get 30% off Sling Orange. This qualifies for the provider’s Binge On program, too, where streaming video isn’t counted against your data. Better act quickly before these deals are gone!

Could Sling TV be the best solution to watch Food Network online for you?

PlayStation Vue for a Food Network Live Stream

Also Great
$44.99 - $79.99

If you’re not ready to commit to Sling TV, consider the alternative from Sony. PlayStation Vue is a similar live streaming service that allows users to seamlessly replace cable by turning their gaming console (and a few other convenient devices) into an entertainment hub.

Food Network, along with Animal Planet and HGTV, is a part of PlayStation Vue’s Access Slim package of networks. Options start at only $29.99 per month. One bonus that Vue (review) has beyond their competition is access to broadcast networks. When the service first launched it was only available in 7 U.S. cities. Those cities still have access to live, local programming on ABC, NBC, FOX, and CBS.

When Vue went nationwide, they were unable to offer live broadcast networks across the board, but they still have ABC, NBC, and FOX on demand the next day. This is good news for fans who want an all-in-one replacement for cable.

PlayStation Vue is available on certain devices, so you’ll be able to watch Food Network on Roku, PS3 and PS4, Amazon Fire TV, Chromecast, and an iOS mobile app. There are location specific mobile restrictions for content, which means that streaming is tied to your home. You should be aware that even the mobile app will restrict access to streaming programming.
